Amir Husain is Chairman of WorldQuant Foundry. A
visionary entrepreneur and renowned AI technologist,
Husain brings decades of experience as an
award-winning investor, business builder, and CEO to
drive innovation and scale breakthrough ideas.
In 2013, Husain founded SparkCognition (now
Avathon), guiding the AI company to unicorn status
with a $1.4 billion valuation. He also founded SGS
(now Avathon Government), a defense technology
company, and SkyGrid, a joint venture with Boeing
focused on aerial operating systems. An accomplished
inventor, Husain holds over 30 patents in AI and
distributed systems.
Husain is a best-selling author of "The
Sentient Machine", "Hyperwar",
"Generative AI for Leaders", and “The
Cybernetic Society” among other titles. He serves on
UT Austin's Computer Science Board and
NATO's Innovation Advisory Board. The
University of Texas at Austin recently honored him
with the Presidential Citation Award, the
university's highest honor, recognizing his
exceptional contributions to technology and
innovation.
